Preview: Crystal Palace vs Queens Park Rangers

Alan Pardrew's Eagles welcome the Hoops down to Selhurst Park for the first Premier League fixture since the beginning of March and since there are only 10 games and two months left to this season, maximum points for both clubs are imperative

Both Teams have similarities; both London clubs, both in the other half of the table, both appointed new mangers in 2015. However there are glaring differences. Crystal Palace, upon having appointed Alan Padrew in January, have a new lease on life; prior to his appointment, the Eagles were winless in 8 games, having lost 3 and were in 18th place. Two month's later, with five wins out of 10 EPL games and sitting in the 12th position, Crystal Palace and their fans may be forgiven for breathing a sigh of relief and having upper table aspirations.

On the other hand, the Hoops seem to have cemented their place in the relegation zone under new manager Chris Ramsey. Since his appointment, winning only one of their last five games, keeping only one clean sheet, conceding seven and are on 18th on the table. However, they do have a chance as only three points separate them from their doom.

Going into this game, QPR has only won one of their last 18 away games. most teams would have found this delicious, but in what seems to be befitting of this fixture, Crystal Palace has one won one of their last seven home games.

Coupled with this, QPR will have to make their short journey without Richard Dunne and Leroy Fer. Crystal Palace also have to do without Frazier Campbell, former QPR man Jordan Mutch, Marouane Chamakh and Yaya Sanogo, while captain Mile Jedinak still serves his four game ban

The Hoops will have the benefit of having an on form Charlie Austin in their ranks, the second highest scoring Englishman in the premier league with 15 goals. For their opposition, Crystal palace has a rejuvenated group of players in Dwight Gayle, Yannick Bolasie and Jason Puncheon amongst others, itching to go this weekend.

This game has produced only seven goals in the last five Premier League fixtures between the two, which must be why most analysts have this going down as a bore draw. However I think Crystal Palace may break this poor home form of theirs and seal the win
