Premier League Player Of The Month and Manager Of The Month
Harry Kane of Tottenham, without realising it is amongst a distinguished few. By becoming the Barclays Premier League of the Month for both January and February, he becomes only the fourth player in history to do so after Dennis Bergkamp, Robbie Fowler and Cristiano Ronaldo, also becoming the first to do so in nearly 10 years after Cristiano Ronaldo did so in 2006
Kane's performances this season has gotten the attention of many and his award is no surprise. 4 goals in three games including 2 against North London rivals. He also is the highest goalscoring Englishman in the country at the moment with 26 in all competitions, including 16 in the league.
The 21 is excited about this achievement and hopes to become the first player to win this award three times in a row: ''To make history would be something very special.''
This season has been good to Kane, who spent time away at Millwall, Leyton Orient, Leicester City and Norwich City on loan before being put forward as Tottenham's main man ahead of Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado. His form and class has been so apparent, the argument for his first Senior call up has become more and more incessant, and indeed it seems that this month will hold that for him.
Let us hope his star will continue to rise... well not against Man U.
Tony Pulis of West Bromwich Albion was also declared Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month, his second ever; his first was last April with Crystal Palace. His Club West Brom have been unbeaten in February, winnig two games, drawing two, scoring five, conceding two and keeping three clean sheets.
