The 2006 World Footballer of the Year,was sentenced for failing to obey an order to stay away from his property. The World Cup winner, has been under investigation for Tax evasion. His company, FD Services is reported to owe 1 Million Euros in unpaid taxes.In October last year, authorities siezed goods worth 1 Million Euroes owned by him as well as his wife. He was caught with his wife going for a swim in one of the seized properties. This action amounted to contempt of court and he has thus been sentenced to 10 months in prison in accordance with Italian law.
