Arsenal Vs Monaco: Emotional game for Arsene Wenger

Arsenal will entertain As Monaco at the Emirates stadium in London today, in the first leg of a tie billed as an emotional one for Arsene Wenger.
As Monaco, is a team that holds a special place in Arsene Wenger's career. Reason being, it was at this club Wenger won his first pieces of silverware as a manger, winning the Ligue1 and Coupe de France titles in 1987 and 1991 respectively. He spent seven years at the side, a club he describes as the' team crazy enough to give him a chance'.It was also as As Monaco manager that he first experienced the bitter side of being the football manger of an elite club.Wenger was sacked by the team for his failure to finish in the top 3 of Ligue 1 in the 1993/1994 season and a terrible start to the 1994/1995 campaign.
That is history, and today offers new opportunities. Wenger's goal in tonight's game is to overcome all emotions, positive or negative and perform his duty as a professional football manager which is to do all it takes to carry his current team Arsenal FC to the next round.

The Teams
Both sides, like all football teams going into big games, face challenges that can hinder their performance. One of which is injuries to top players. Arsenal will be without Jack Wilshire, Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arterta, Abou Diaby and Mathieu Debuchy. For Monaco Jeremy Toulalan,Tiemou Bakayoko, Ricardo Carvalho and Andrea Raggi are out. Sensational left back Lavyin Kurzawa, is an injury worry for Monaco.
Arsenal's team has performed to its expectations recently. With Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil and Santi Carzola currently in hot form, Arsenal possess a team strong in confidence and momentum. Monaco on the other hand will be expecting performances from former Spurs man Dimitar Berbatov and Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco in attack. The 21 year old winger, has been in brilliant form this season and is even admired by Arsene Wenger. He is however also an injury worry but is expected to start the game.
My Prediction.
This game has been dubbed by some as an easy one for Arsenal. A claim Arsene Wenger disputes as he insists no games are easy in the Champions League.I agree with Wenger but I expect his side to come out victors tonight. While As Monaco will give it their best, bar a shock result I expect Arsenal to come out on top of this one.
