Highlights: Sunderland vs Aston Villa


Aston Villa currently seem to flourish under new manger Tim Sherwood as they seal their third win in as many games. The Villains showed their class as they traveled to the Stadium of right and proved to be unruly guests as they ran riot, inciting the wrath of the home fans. at the end of the day it was a professional exhibition; goals in the first heal, sealed it up in the second. On the other hand Sunderland were woeful and find themselves being dragged more and more into the relegation battle again this season. Gus Poyet will be keen not to emulate this display and move on in the next game.

Trivia: Prior to this game, Villa had not scored an away goal for 590 minutes, a run of 10 premier league games.
This was Gabby Agbonlahor's 300 Premier League game.
His goals today proved to show he was a thorn in Sunderland's flesh as this was the third consecutive occasion in which Gabby Agbonlahor had scored in the Stadium of Light.
