End of an Era:Tiger Woods Dethroned By Rory Mcilroy.

Since he took the world by storm with an amazing 2011 season, Rory Mcilroy has been tipped for  greatness in the sport of golf. He has consistently been compared to the sports greats Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. Last year, Mcilroy replaced Tiger Woods as Golf's World Number One Player. And now, for the first time since 1998,Tiger Woods has been replaced as the face of EA Sports PGA Tour video game. It comes as no surprise that his successor is Rory Mckilroy.
The Tiger Woods PGA Tour will now be known as the Rory Mckilroy PGA tour. Mckilroy was quoted as saying 'I'm very proud and humbled to see my face and name on EA SPORTS Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR.This is a great honor, and something I couldn't even dream of growing up playing the sport.'
Tiger Woods has struggled to reach the phenomenal peaks he was once associated with, before his infamous sex scandal in 2010. He is currently nursing a back injury and is indefinitely out of the game. This move can be likened to Rory Mcilroy's coronation as the new king of Golf. It can also be seen as the act that signifies the end of an era for Tiger Woods.
