Unlucky under the LVG era, this little Spartan has decided to move on and play regular football in France, but not before leaving a tribute to the Red Devils and those who follow.<br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0QD7Pxba92gHXwC8NqRwLm1T9X0Euwysu4Xeuc-iVa0WUmpoNrhcO23aeRdnLrLMptgbGHZP3cGE7eo_jwPDKd8qL44URfqSZfIDn7BU6fMDf4LSA8uEebcLk7AxdaPZRzoW5lPfdUQ8s/s1600/lt1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0QD7Pxba92gHXwC8NqRwLm1T9X0Euwysu4Xeuc-iVa0WUmpoNrhcO23aeRdnLrLMptgbGHZP3cGE7eo_jwPDKd8qL44URfqSZfIDn7BU6fMDf4LSA8uEebcLk7AxdaPZRzoW5lPfdUQ8s/s640/lt1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
As this season draws to a close in most, if not all, of league football, I happened to notice that probably one of football's greatest late developers is at it again as I just happened to realise that Luca Toni of Hellas Verona finished the season as the Serie A top goal scorer, beating the likes of Carlos Tevez, Gonzalo Higuain, Jeremy Menez and so on, just to name a few; with only Mauro Icardi of Inter being able to match this record, as both men scored 22 league goals this past season.<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<br />
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvSMwAubsO9-wUIzQF794XPaW3h0rKyAykxtirso00J2TRkjjJa8UuoMwX6QSf_05OhIgOfHs4ObwS20p-8IePzt6WpoCWFkEEUJ3SXdwEun8Tiqu2axhCR8uhX5PE5enSG37PSpeHi3iV/s1600/lt2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="380" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvSMwAubsO9-wUIzQF794XPaW3h0rKyAykxtirso00J2TRkjjJa8UuoMwX6QSf_05OhIgOfHs4ObwS20p-8IePzt6WpoCWFkEEUJ3SXdwEun8Tiqu2axhCR8uhX5PE5enSG37PSpeHi3iV/s640/lt2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Apart from the achievement of securing the Capocannonieri, Toni has pulled this feat off where some may say he has no right to; he faced steep competition from a rampart Carlos Tevez, from others such as the other joint top goalscorer Icardi and the like of Higuain and so on, while playing for a team who has fewer resources in the sense of their standing in the Italian competition; which may just prove to make this a bigger achievement.</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiloqIi_HwCfwPCTNIsgHcNEjycpjuA2jDmdk1yBK76vq7qx_cFwGXnD9pn1EBeVKsAFlN5zvb1bmYtSysXhW66-cpxbHNWaRbU7vfcONojn8et_I7YYBK2NG8Cpj2EPCdU6O32aT7Ovc9m/s1600/lt3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiloqIi_HwCfwPCTNIsgHcNEjycpjuA2jDmdk1yBK76vq7qx_cFwGXnD9pn1EBeVKsAFlN5zvb1bmYtSysXhW66-cpxbHNWaRbU7vfcONojn8et_I7YYBK2NG8Cpj2EPCdU6O32aT7Ovc9m/s640/lt3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This, however, is not his first top goal scorer award as he first became Italy's top marksman way back in 2006 when he played for Fiorentina aka la Viola, scoring more than 30 league goals in a season, an achievement not matched since Gunnar Nordahl in the damn 50s. He also displayed his class abroad, claiming the Top Goalscorer award for himself in Germany while playing for Bayern Munich in the 2007-2008 season, where he was also the Uefa Cup Top Goalscorer</div>
<div>
<br />
Following this seasons performance, he is yet to decide his future; with a slim but possible call-up for the Azzuri and a move to Australia. While his sits at home pondering, I'll be heretaking my hat off to the man. </div>

Tonight, in a high scoring game in Kiev, Everton has been kicked out of the Europa Cup, marking the first time no English team has reached the Quarter Finals in 22 years.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Despite carrying a 2-1 advantage from Goodison Park, the Toffees were helpless against a brillian Dynamo Kiev who outplayed and eventually outscored them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2sbZjE0-J09Su0LJXMB6P5w8UdEj2fZBa9w5bMxvuZMw0Uy3vR5FrPK4LcWtVaTzjnStO5J6z-4CYVTBeR-bVvGPHbMQNHp1jgsuunBrYEPzbXszmHYOK4WDLZInGS9Erss-91lq3GAxl/s1600/dyneve.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2sbZjE0-J09Su0LJXMB6P5w8UdEj2fZBa9w5bMxvuZMw0Uy3vR5FrPK4LcWtVaTzjnStO5J6z-4CYVTBeR-bVvGPHbMQNHp1jgsuunBrYEPzbXszmHYOK4WDLZInGS9Erss-91lq3GAxl/s1600/dyneve.jpg" height="398" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Dynamo Kiev opened the scoring with a left footed curler by Yarmolenko, however Romelu Lukaku replied for Everton eight minutes later. The scoring didn't stop there as Teodorczyk scored to take the lead and even out the aggregate scores while Miguel Veloso completed the turn around, all in the first half.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The sh*t continued to hit the fan in the second half as Dynamo Kiev took the initiative and increased the lead first with close range finish from Husyev and long range beauty from Antunes. Everton Captain Phil Jagielka managed to save face a bit for his team and scored the header off an Baines.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

In conclusion, Everton were too tame on the night where the opposite was required and now Dynamo Kiev have taken their spot on the crusade for Europa League glory.<br />

Fiorentina win by three goals to nil as Gonzalo Rodriguez opened the scoring in a twice taken penalty early in the first half, which was followed by a howler by Roma keeper Łukasz Skorupski which led to a Marcos Alonso goal. Roma's shambolic defensive display was then topped off by a Basanta goal, all of which happened even before half of the first period had gone past<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXRHQzvh86ff-deIzAuuUsU-5NO4gq-69efed8rElcPLcTn6Hz3NKYstQV-_ibcSUsQMjUqt9i0xQARiqqsaBwGDgwNRFa-S2YdR8mluwRysuI1gLzTiBhwkL-nSJmeU4IeVgfUgu8K5-O/s1600/iker-casillas-single-image-cut.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXRHQzvh86ff-deIzAuuUsU-5NO4gq-69efed8rElcPLcTn6Hz3NKYstQV-_ibcSUsQMjUqt9i0xQARiqqsaBwGDgwNRFa-S2YdR8mluwRysuI1gLzTiBhwkL-nSJmeU4IeVgfUgu8K5-O/s1600/iker-casillas-single-image-cut.jpg" height="434" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
The Real Madrid goalkeeper is doing everything he can to ensure he's replaced in the summer </div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div>
As hard as David De Gea is working to make sure Manchester United qualify for the Champions League, Iker Casillas's continued presence in the Real Madrid goal could hasten the holder's exit from the competition.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Whether or not De Gea ends up back in Madrid or not this summer one thing is for certain, Real need a new goalkeeper and will be lucky to get anywhere close to the final this year with Casillas between the sticks. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Should De Gea move to Santiago Bernabeu then Manchester United fans would be entitled to hold Casillas directly responsible. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The veteran's form in the Champions League last 16 second leg against Schalke was a new low for the man for whom the bar drops further by the week. There were all kinds of mistakes in that 4-3 defeat. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It has reached the stage that Carlo Ancelotti is effectively sabotaging his own team's chances in order to keep some semblance of confidence invested in what was one of the great modern goalkeepers. Those days are finished. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Casillas not only drops the ball and allows it to squirm through his body; he no longer sends any message of assurance to the rest of his team. The Real Madrid defence appear desperate to prevent any type of shot hitting his goal. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Contrast that to the confidence instilled in Manchester United by De Gea. He is currently making logic-defying saves game after game as United attempt to earn a spot in the Champions League. </div>

<br /></div>
Harry Kane has finally gotten his first international call up for England, who are gearing up to play against Lithuania and Italy on the 27th and 31st of March respectively<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div>
This call-up is of no surprise and is indeed well deserved: the Tottenham man has been on hot form since breaking into the north London side, scoring 26 goals in 42 games, currently making him the top English goal scorer in the Premier League with 16 goals this season, and was chosen as the January and February Barclays Player of the month.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Harry Kane, however, was the only new face in the 24 man squad, with the exclusion of the likes of Charlie Austin who is the next highest goal-scoring Englishman with 15 goals, Danny Ings who has also impress, and Ryan Mason, from a squad in which Roy Hodgson had promise to include a host of young players. Saido Berahino also watches this game at home.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Harry Kane himself is ecstatic, releasing this statement via twitter: 'Huge honour to be called up to the England squad! Very proud day for me and my family! Thank you all for the kind messages! #England'</div>

Despite City's best effort, or at least all 25 minutes of it, Barcelona still qualified for the Quarter finals for the 8th time in a row.<br />
<a name='more'></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div>
On the night, Barcelona was in a different class above Man City and Lionel Messi was at it again, tormenting that back line and of course showing no love to James Milner. City were resolute before Messi gave a sublime assist to Ivan Rakitic, giving that final punch to Cit's stomach. Honestly, the score line would have been at least 5-0, with Neymar and Luis Suarez, and indeed Messi wasting a whole host of chances.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNajASM56AxLHkidO4MUDDiP1dqQu0I7kk59JJsFonZXh_hlyHbCZ7TFAb27_OnLBbWbwkR-bq7jEjA1v1Ud-aS1F-WjhwhWSNU40rQ6wqaGzWOtU1iocrXucST4HHgXkrZQudo3wv-GoY/s1600/barmanss4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNajASM56AxLHkidO4MUDDiP1dqQu0I7kk59JJsFonZXh_hlyHbCZ7TFAb27_OnLBbWbwkR-bq7jEjA1v1Ud-aS1F-WjhwhWSNU40rQ6wqaGzWOtU1iocrXucST4HHgXkrZQudo3wv-GoY/s1600/barmanss4.jpg" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
However, it will be unfair to leave out Joe Hart's heroics, especially in the second half, as he kept a very porous Man City team in the game and his efforts could have been rewarded if Sergio Aguero had scored that penalty, but Ter Stegen had other things in mind.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_NDcRW_TAuM_Lhfy0-SWekXKJPAFoX9EveqQkIFgl0c_vZGliUOlj2ON6um9XcVwQNXAha4yZVmj2WasScNmWqhGemLw-A3l5XduzB0RAM9B538AYLMTA5OLio1UQgu57ceYEl3kNXJWx/s1600/barmanss3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_NDcRW_TAuM_Lhfy0-SWekXKJPAFoX9EveqQkIFgl0c_vZGliUOlj2ON6um9XcVwQNXAha4yZVmj2WasScNmWqhGemLw-A3l5XduzB0RAM9B538AYLMTA5OLio1UQgu57ceYEl3kNXJWx/s1600/barmanss3.jpg" height="442" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
Quite frankly, I no longer believe that this game was even about Man City's comeback, but the completion of Barca's. Last night they showed that they were perhaps back to their very best, showing trickery with incisiveness. Constantly attacking and giving Manchester City no news to breath. Messi quite frankly controlled that game and showed us all why he is the best, perhaps of all time.</div>

Juventus rocked the very foundation of the Wesfalenstadion as the started their route with an early Tevez to eventually win the game and the draw in a convincing manner to show that Juve are back in town and that they mean business. Dominant from the get-go, they gave Jurgen Klopp's men tons of trouble and a Tevez brace, each goal scored at both ends of a Morato goal solidified Juve's hold on the draw.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />

Borussia Dortmund for their part in this should not feel sore. They proved too tame for such an event that needed a powerful response, their attack too tame, their defence too weak. Gigi Buffon only had to make two saves tonight and they were battered in front of their most loyal of fans. This season has given them nothing to boast about but they still fared better than others in this competition. Perhaps getting knocked out is exactly what they needed to recuperate, and Marco Reus and co will go back and regroup in order to come back stronger.</div>

However the night belonged to Juve, who will be the only Italian team to still be in the competition. This result will show Juve's progress in their quest to be amongst Europe's best or at least for the time being and Friday's draw will be greatly anticipated by Allegri & Co as to what challenge lies ahead.</div>

Man City traveled to Barcelona last night, having all to do tonight, bidding to turn over a 2-1 result and hoping to progress through to the Quarter Finals for the first time, while probably lacking in confidence.<br />

Tonight Barcelona welcome Pelligrini and his charges to the Camp Nou, a ground where many have conceived to be Man City's slaughter house; surveys were carried and a whopping 93% have Barcelona as their winners tonight. Following their 2 away goals gathered during the 2-1 victory at the Ethiad plus their form since then, climbing to the top of the table above Real Madrid, and are unbeaten in five games and having won 16 of their last 18 games since the turn of 2015. This is also coupled with the fact that messi has found scary form again scoring six goals in the last four matches since that date in Manchester and with returning to his best form, word around the footballing community is that he, Neymar who continues to impress even his stoutest of doubter, and Suarez who has started showing why he was bought, will be looking to tear Manchester City apart.<br />

On the other side of the coin, Man City have are going through woeful times. Since that loss against tonight's host, they have lost two out of their last three games, six points behind league leaders Chelsea and are one bad result away from being chanced from the 2nd spot. This City side is not the same side that score more than 150 goals last season and tonight all indications lead to the fact that Manchester City may be walking into the lion's den, and although this time around, Manchester City can boast of the return of club talisman Yaya Toure, I'm sure that most can agree that this still won't do for the Manchurian side.</div>

Apart from the obvious, I also have to add that most British sides have not faired well at the Nou Camp. The only English club to ever pull this off was Liverpool back in 2007 and perhaps for your own consideration waaaaaay back in 1976 in a Uefa cup tie, and the only British side to complete this feat home and away was Dundee United in 1987. Mind you these are the very few occasions in history these things occurred...</div>

I really hope for a City win because I can't help but to root for the underdog, no matter who the scum blue side of Manchester underdog may be, but I'd be really surprised if they pull it off, as I am sure everyone else would. They blew their chance a few weeks ago and now they have to do at the Bad Man's house. Goodluck</div>

Tonight a confident but wary Juventus side travel to to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund, who must be eagerly waiting for their Italian guest to arrive for tonight bout for the spoils, glory and progession in this year's edition of the Champions League.<a name='more'></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Borussia Dortmund, before travelling to Turin in February were going through a torrid time, at one point bottom of their league and quite frankly were out of contention for the Bundesliga title. However, shortly before the loss to the Italian giants, they started to rebuild for and started getting results. Unfortunately, they couldn't match the Italians at home but came away with a valuable away goal. Tonight they face Juventus before their fans, hoping to rescue a result and progress at the expense of the Italian Camps</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Juve on the other hand must win tonight. Apart from personal laurels, they are currently the last Italian side in the Champions League, and although they are currently doing very well on the domestic front, losiing only one game since the beginning of 2015,the odds are against them as no Italian side reached the Quarter finals last season and no Italian side has reached the semis since Jose Mourinho's triumphant Inter Milan. A whole host of Italian sides may be knocked out of the Europa League tomorrow bar Napoli and a knock out for Juve will underline the slow but steady decline of the Serie A.</div>

Tonight despite his attempts to recover in time for this fixture, Andrea Pirlo might not make it to the game tonight. Caecares, (ankle), Marrone (thigh), Sturaro (ankle) and De Ceglie (knee) will also sit this one out. The Boys in Yellow and Black also have a few men watching from the sidelines, with Grosskreutz (hamstring), Piszczek (ankle), Şahin (adductors) and Ginter (thigh) nursing injuries of their own.</div>

Atletico Madrid have progressed through to the Quarter Finals of the Champions League as the turn the bad result from the BayArena around. A fortuitous Mario Suarez goal in the middle of the first half salvaged the game for Atletico and as both sides could not find anything to decide the game during normal time and extra time, the winner of this fixture was decided through the first penalty shootout of this years competition and despite both keepers heroics, Atletico Madrid won and stayed on course for perhaps a return to this year's final.<br />

Two goals on the Stade Louis II night gave Arsenal the win at as the dominated most of the game. However a 2-0 win on the night did not suffice as Arsenal's Champions League journey has come to an end as they return to London, going out on away goals (3-3). This game only proved what we all knew; the first leg results were very telling and Monaco who really didn't need to pass the half way line, decided to stay resolute and see out the entirety of the game in defense mode while watching out for chances to exploit on the counter. As unattractive as it was, it got the job done and they qualify for the Quarter Finals in Europe for the first time since 2004.<br />

Since he took the world by storm with an amazing 2011 season, Rory Mcilroy has been tipped for greatness in the sport of golf. He has consistently been compared to the sports greats Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. Last year, Mcilroy replaced Tiger Woods as Golf's World Number One Player. And now, for the first time since 1998,Tiger Woods has been replaced as the face of EA Sports PGA Tour video game. It comes as no surprise that his successor is Rory Mckilroy.<br />
<a name='more'></a>The Tiger Woods PGA Tour will now be known as the Rory Mckilroy PGA tour. Mckilroy was quoted as saying 'I'm very proud and humbled to see my face and name on EA SPORTS Rory
McIlroy PGA TOUR.This is a great honor, and something I
couldn't even dream of growing up playing the sport.'<br />
Tiger Woods has struggled to reach the phenomenal peaks he was once associated with, before his infamous sex scandal in 2010. He is currently nursing a back injury and is indefinitely out of the game. This move can be likened to Rory Mcilroy's coronation as the new king of Golf. It can also be seen as the act that signifies the end of an era for Tiger Woods. <br />
Tonight Arsenal has it all to do against a Monaco side that seemed to have revealed the problems the Gunners had all seasons prior to this game, but they may need to thank for perhaps sparking a turn around for Arsene Wenger's side.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitDotBhkLYBdAL2fXQv9SfFHqZiGwgetJuJeLrFrO0cg5FVkMlCj0t3SycsIfo1vIPZ9rHN7DpziDV_lMRhyphenhyphenLm_28_4-6PbD9_CgL4Hy2FMUlzLzxcljvrzWluTdzeyaq-HESrMzk3uaqt/s1600/monars2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitDotBhkLYBdAL2fXQv9SfFHqZiGwgetJuJeLrFrO0cg5FVkMlCj0t3SycsIfo1vIPZ9rHN7DpziDV_lMRhyphenhyphenLm_28_4-6PbD9_CgL4Hy2FMUlzLzxcljvrzWluTdzeyaq-HESrMzk3uaqt/s1600/monars2.jpg" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Since that 1-3 loss at the Emirates, Arsenal has won all their games, beating Man United at homwe in the FA cup and closing in on the 2nd spot, one point behind Arsenal. This turn around may have been surprising for most as I felt this was just another reason for them to crumble and sync further into the footballing abyss. However Arsene Wenger rallied his troops and it seems as though the Gunners will travel to the French Municipality with fire in their belly.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhR-g6dKqR9dWqU2CCUK9UujBfqEsTBFWaowjgPbJCMi6JLRlDlssu8bceComKzoDAv1mUWt1gfcBpCi5SFcJoT8txL2mzh2uVHJUTrpy2Ljc226CEuTwxxtdqvXUIaHjwi9LvD_frZn4R/s1600/monars3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhR-g6dKqR9dWqU2CCUK9UujBfqEsTBFWaowjgPbJCMi6JLRlDlssu8bceComKzoDAv1mUWt1gfcBpCi5SFcJoT8txL2mzh2uVHJUTrpy2Ljc226CEuTwxxtdqvXUIaHjwi9LvD_frZn4R/s1600/monars3.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Monaco on the other hand have had decent form since then, winning two out of their last 4 games and only losing out to rivals PSG. Teeming to prove that the win in London wasn't a fluke, AS Monaco will be looking to do all within their power to qualify for the quarter finals, something they haven't done since 2004.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUw6VA_kiCdE8_B5I1mVorqbye6jwzN7xMPsB36TPVfeaBiO4n8WUf8DD-_uC9L41mfs9BmrVOFe6iJ82Dp2MxkrVKPwfdYBno1I8bshbBSa91km-Uwv0Lj3E51w66xmkKdGt9t5mfbCIt/s1600/monars4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUw6VA_kiCdE8_B5I1mVorqbye6jwzN7xMPsB36TPVfeaBiO4n8WUf8DD-_uC9L41mfs9BmrVOFe6iJ82Dp2MxkrVKPwfdYBno1I8bshbBSa91km-Uwv0Lj3E51w66xmkKdGt9t5mfbCIt/s1600/monars4.jpg" height="416" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
All in all, we have this, an Arsenal side that must be throwing darts at a Dimitar Berbatov picture and a Leornado Jardin squad itching for progression. Arsenal has been here before, against Bayern Munich, Barcelona and AC Milan. Many may disagree but I see Arsenal making history today, however I also see a resolute Monaco side who will not give an inch with that 2 goal advantage, 3 away goals if i may add. All I see is blood and glory written all over this story. I know we all cant wait!!<br />

Bayer Leverkusen travel to Madrid to face the Spanish Champions for the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 draw, a game Diego Simeone & Co must be eagerly anticipating. Since surprising loss suffered at the hands of their guests the BayArena, both teams have had different ranges of form; Bayer Leverkusen have won all four of their games while that game sparked the beginning of a win-less run for Atletico Madrid. Atletico has also started to lose pace in the title race, dropping down to fourth, losing 3rd spot to Valencia and are now 9 points behind league leaders Barcelona, while Bayer's form has seen them climb one position on the table and are two points behind Borussia Monchengladbach within reach of a Champions League position next season<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />

<br />
Most eyes however will be on Atletico Madrid tonight. Last season's finalists who lost the game at the last minute to a Sergio Ramos equaliser, they have been far from perfect this season and their only saving grace tonight is that they have not conceded a goal at home in this seasons edition of the European competition. For their own part in this competition, Bayer Leverkusen have not reached to quarter finals of the competition since 2002, 13 years ago. Roger Schmidt's men will be looking to correct such stats.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Coupled with the home form of Atletico this season and the hunger displayed by Leverkusen in the first , I anticipate a great game but I can't see past an Atletico win. However, I'm sure the Bayer Leverkusen will have something to say about that.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03881568471862047893noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1875102243136169873.post-20611431158627743152015-03-17T08:39:00.001+00:002015-03-17T08:39:36.538+00:00Dick Advocaat Appointed As New Sunderland Manager<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The former Netherlands coach takes over a day after the sacking of Gus Poyet with the Black Cats one point above the Premier League relegation zone.<br />
<br />
"We have one aim only now - to climb the table - and everyone is fully focused on the task ahead of us," said Sunderland chairman Ellis Short.<br />
<br />
Advocaat, 67, said: "I can't wait to get started."<br />
Poyet was sacked after a run of just one victory in 12 league games, which left Sunderland 17th in the Premier League and one point above the relegation zone.<br />
<br />
They were thrashed 4-0 at home by relegation rivals Aston Villa in Poyet's last game and Advocaat's reign will get under way with a game at West Ham on Saturday.<br />
<br />
"Sunderland is a big club and I am very much looking forward to the challenge ahead," said the Dutchman. "We must now concentrate on Saturday as a priority."<br />
<br />
Advocaat has been out of work since resigning as Serbia coach in November.<br />
His previous clubs include Rangers, PSV Eindhoven and Zenit St Petersburg, while the Dutchman has also managed six national teams, including Belgium and South Korea.<br />
<br />
Advocaat has won domestic league titles in Netherlands, Scotland and Russia.<br />
<br />
"Dick has an incredible CV and vast experience of managing at the very highest level," said Short.<br />
Former Netherlands and Rangers defender Arthur Numan told BBC Radio 5 live that Advocaat has "always dreamed of coaching in England".<br />
<br />
Numan, who played under Advocaat for club and country, added: "I think the press are going to love him as well because he is outspoken."<br />
